n8n Setup and Deployment

n8n Setup and Deployment, Cloud or Self-Hosted

We set up the instance you will actually run: environments, backups, credentials, queue mode when volume needs it, and a path from staging to production.

The problem

n8n is installed, then left on a laptop, a default Docker compose, or a Cloud trial with shared logins. The first real workflow has nowhere safe to live.

What we automate

  • ✓ n8n Cloud workspace or a self-hosted deployment
  • ✓ Postgres, queue mode, and worker sizing when executions grow
  • ✓ Backups and an upgrade path
  • ✓ SSO or tight user roles for the people who edit workflows
  • ✓ Secret handling that is not a copy-paste into a node

Example scope, not a client case study

The first week produces one workflow: n8n Cloud workspace or a self-hosted deployment. Done means a record your team can open, and an alert that names the record when a run fails. This describes the shape of the work. It is not a result from a named client.

How the n8n build works

1

Choose where data lives

Customer and financial payloads usually mean self-hosting. A marketing workflow often fits n8n Cloud.

2

Stand up production and a place to test

Workflow edits are tried before they touch live records.

3

Lock down access

Editors, viewers, and credential owners are different people when the team is more than one.

4

Document the restart

What to do when the box, the queue, or an API credential fails.

Why teams use this

✓

The instance is a service, not a side project on one machine

✓

You know how to upgrade without losing executions

✓

Credentials can be rotated without editing every node by hand

✓

A free trial setup is replaced with something you can keep

Deployment is the part teams skip, then pay for when a disk fills or a credential leaks into a workflow JSON. We treat the instance as production software.

If you only need one simple Cloud workflow, we will say so and skip the self-hosted design. The setup should match the data, not a default architecture diagram.

What this costs

The scoping call is free. The build is priced per workflow after we see your systems, not as a flat package and not per n8n execution. n8n software is separate: self-hosting is free on your server, and n8n Cloud publishes its own Starter and Pro plans. Those are their prices, not our fee.

Who you talk to

The person who scopes the workflow is the person who designs it. You get that owner on the kickoff call. We reply within 24 hours. AI PROFI does not publish a specialist's local license, a phone number, or a street address for this service.

FAQ

Do you include a free setup?
The first scoping call is free. A production deployment is a paid engagement because backups and access control are the work.
Which host do you use?
Your cloud account. Common choices are a VPS or the Kubernetes cluster you already run. We do not keep your data on our servers.
Can you move us from n8n Cloud to self-hosted later?
Yes. We export workflows, recreate credentials, and cut over one workflow at a time.
